I don't mind a little make up, but when it is overdone it is nasty looking.
Some lipstick, eyeliner and the stuff that goes on your eyelids is nice looking. Anything else I think is over doing it.

I like a little. Highlighting the eyes is nice. Porno makeup is nasty.

Make-up is about making a girl look "natural". LOL. There's a joke I've heard women say before,"I put on so much make-up to make it look like I didn't put any on at all."
You can't wear bright blue eyeshadow up to your eyebrows. That looks weird and abnormal, but if girls put a little bit of shimmery, skin colored eyeshadow up to their eyebrows, it's the same amount of make-up, it just doesn't look as weird.
Any porn model you see is wearing a full face of make-up. Same with any celebrity, no matter how natural they look. And if you're attracted to those, then you are attracted to full faces of make-up.
Women just need to use more natural colors on their faces to do it right.
Personally, I only wear a little bit of make-up. I wear eyeliner, mascara, and maybe some lip gloss, but that's because I'm lazy.

A little goes a long way. I dont want to kiss a girl and be covered in whatever she was wearing.
I also dont want to see it caked on when I get close to her.
If I'm gonna see you in the morning anyway, no need to try to "impress" me with your art skills.

I like a little bit that makes their eyes and eye lashes pop. Don't really like lipstick or the stuff they put on their cheeks.

Since makeup is being used by a woman who chose to look a certain way and not your business... I don't see why this is even a valid topic.

^Seems though that women use it because they want to look a certain way for men.

^Seems though that women use it because they want to look a certain way for men. Some maybe, yeah. But trust me, as a woman, there are a lot who don't give a damn about what men think and don't do anything, including their makeup, to impress a man.

I do it for myself, for men, and for other women. I just want to look presentable period. I want to blend in with how everyone else looks.

It gives me more confidence with everyone when I wear make-up. Also, I don't know about other girls, but women comment on my make-up, hair, and clothes, so even if I'm just going out with friends, sometimes I'll want to look nice anyway.

Since makeup is being used by a woman who chose to look a certain way and not your business... I don't see why this is even a valid topic. It's the opposite sex, and judging by the industry being absolutely enormous, is a large part of a lot of women's lives. I don't see how discussing the ins and outs of it is offensive, but if it does offend you, just don't open the thread... Definitely a valid topic imo though.

It's the assumption that a man's preferences are relevant to most women.
