Has anyone in your family served? Do you ever plan to serve. Honorable mention to Apricky and Aaron who can't be with us right now.

My grandfather was drafted. I wish I knew more about what each branch did.

^I'm pretty sure they do have office jobs, but even with those you have to pass the same fitness test.

So I couldn't serve the country in an office, for being too skinny?

I think everyone has the same requirements just in case you ever have to fight.

Really? They'd put the office workers to battle?

I would want to serve for a year. Is there a minimum term?

My granfather was in the army for 20 years. He fought in the Korean War, and was shot on his birthday and awarded the Purple Heart. He was also awarded the Bronze Star en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze_Star_MedalHe received several other awards and accolades, but those were the biggest. My Uncle served 20 years in the Navy, and I have 2 cousins currently studying at the Naval Academy, 1 of which wants to make a career of the military.
