Did you ever drive a beater? What was it? What's a good story involving getting it from point A to point B? I drove a '92 Chevy Beretta from when I was 16 to when I graduated college. It was a complete piece, but it got me through 7 years. It would leak when it rained, so there would be standing water on the driver side floor. Sometimes a considerable amount depending on the storm. In the winter, this puddle would freeze and release moisture inside the car, resulting in a pretty good amount of frost and ice on the inside of my windshield. I would take a credit card and scrape the inside off and it would basically snow inside my car. Couldn't open the driver side window because it never stayed on the track and the window would pop off. The door handle on the driver side would freeze in the winter and break off so I'd have to get in through the passenger side. Glad these days are behind me, but it certainly makes me appreciate the car I have now
