I've turned pink before, but never burned. Also never put on sublock. Am I setting myself up for skin cancer? Do I even need it if I've never burned?

I think everyone is supposed to use it even if they don't burn as protection.

I'm of German and Irish ancestry with blonde hair and blue eyes. I step foot in the sun unprotected and I'm sizzling within 30 minutes.

I don't think I'm out long enough to burn. I put on sunscreen sometimes if I'm at the beach, but I usually don't put it on unless I'll be out for over 10 hrs.

If I am out more than 30 mins or so I will burn. I always use sunblock to be precautious. I've read that even if you don't burn, you should use it.

Slight. Enough to feel a little numb, but no pain.

I'm of German and Irish ancestry with blonde hair and blue eyes. I step foot in the sun unprotected and I'm sizzling within 30 minutes. Same. I've been burned so bad once that my face was bleeding and basically a giant scab for 2 weeks. Miserable. And yes, you can burn if you are darker skinned and should still wear sunscreen

If I'm expecting to be out for more than 4 hours in direct sunlight (summer) then I'll use it. Otherwise I assume I won't need it.
But, I'm old and cantankerous.
EDIT : Added summer, because I can be out all day in the fall with no issues. Earth tilt and all that.

i don't like sunscreen and prefer not to use it. No big deal though since most of the light that I see comes from my computer monitor.
