Summer as a kid was always about vacation! I never travelled very far in the car. I think the most was a drive from Chicago to Niagara Falls, probably 7 or 8 hour drive I think. I'd love to take a road trip with friends to Vegas or Florida.
What about you guys? Anyone make a cross country trek via car?

Probably about 5 hours to another state to see a concert, and then 5 hours back home (the same day).

Drove to Miami from Ohio to drop a friend off. It was nice seeing many states.

My family drove from central Texas to Las Vegas three times when I was a kid.
Do not recommend.
I would love to take a really long roadtrip with my bf/friends, though. Just never again with my family.

Just never again with my family. lol I understand this. Too much time in the car with family can be a very bad thing. But with friends it can be a total blast. You should plan something with your BF and close friends! Sure Vegas would be a lot more fun for you now |
