Most of my neighborhood houses are rentals and it's a three college town so the residents change about once a year... and are usually assholes. I've already had to intimidate the girls next door into cleaning up all the beer cans/bottles/cigarettes that ended up in my backyard after their party (because obviously trash goes over the fence into the neighbors yard, right?) so not a good start, but they were amicable about it.
There's a family that moved in on the other side of me about 6 months ago that I'm on speaking terms with - they seem nice.
That said, I'm ready to move out of town and have no neighbors again.

There's a lot of property between houses. I haven't driven to see the neighbors.
