Asexual simply means lack of sexual attraction right? Or does it mean you're neither bi, straight, or gay? Do you know anyone like this?

I think it's the lack of sexual attraction to anyone or anything.

Two of my very good friends are asexual. It doesn't mean they don't want relationships, it just means they don't want to have sex with anyone. Granted most 'romantic' relationships eventually involve sex, so I doubt they'll get married.

asexuality means they aren't interested in sexual contact with people the asexuality spectrum isn't limited to just no interest in it, there's also grey-a which means very little interest in sexual contact some asexuals masturbate and they might think of a person or think of nothing at all and just aim to make themselves feel good, and some don't masturbate at all
asexuality and the ability to fall in love are two entirely different things for instance, someone would have no interest in having sex with a person but fall in love with them anyway, and they could have a normal relationship, just without the aspect of sex, and it'll function just as well as any other relationship would
so you could be asexual and heteroromantic, asexual and homoromantic, asexual and panromantic - i could go on
aaaaaand we also have demisexuality which entails that a person experiences no physical attraction to a person until they get closer and form a psychological bond
they could still feel attracted to someone physically without wanting to have sex to him, compare it to being in awe with a beautiful painting at an art gallery but not actually wanting to take it home and hanging it on your wall

I'm not positive about it and he hasn't said this, but I'm pretty sure that my brother is asexual. He is in his mid-twenties and he has yet to even have a crush on anyone or ask out anyone. He's more interested in college and his nerdy hobbies than looking at anyone of any gender.
Of course, I am his sister and he may just not be telling me things, that's possible, so I may be way off the mark.
But he's best friends with my fiance and he's never once mentioned anything about having a crush on anyone to my fiance.

it is and elliott explained it well. I'll just add, that celibacy and asexuality are different. One can chose the first but not the other.
