Amazing stuffing!!
1 lb. loaf of bread (about 10 cups) Whole wheat or a hearty bread works better than doughy white, cubed: dry it in the oven with about a cup of dried cranberries.
Cook 2-3 chopped onions, 5 ribs of celery, and 3 chopped apples in 1/2 cup oil or butter until golden.
Add to bread along with basil, thyme, 1/3 cup fresh parsley, pepper, and poultry seasoning, and sage.
Mix well and moisten with about 2 cups of turkey stock (chicken works too) until a good soft, but not soggy consistency is reached.
Bake in pan at 300 until hot throughout and crispy on top.
