It's strange. Generally all topics will get 13-20 replies almost immediately. Then sometimes, some get overlooked for a day or 2. Then once I see it and reply, it looks like other people see it too
Does that make sense?
Is there a bug. Do threads disappear?

I think I know what you mean. There is no bug. I think most people only click on threads off the main page. Not many people use the "new topics" feature

So pretty much if it's not showing up on the home index, people arent clicking to open the boards?

That's my best theory.
Then when someone does go inside the board and make the first reply, it will show up on the homepage, and everyone else will see it.

I'd agree with the above theory
Same goes for why some posts are missed if say for example if I post 3 topics in the same section on the same day

It usually happens if there is another thread in the same section that people are more interested in.

No bugs. Some threads are unseen when another thread(s) takes dominance in the section

I use the new topics button. But most just see what is on the home page. So when a new topic is made in a board, all the other ones go unseen.

The forum seems to thrive on 10 full topics per day.
Maybe we all need to use the new topics feature.

I go into the boards I like and read the topics that have "new" on them, whether they are a new topic or have a new reply. But sometimes a topic's title doesn't interest me, so I don't click on it.
