I'm surrounded by wood paneling from the disco era. I need a good low cost idea for it and also other design ideas.
Also I need to find a way to insulate 3 big rooms. There is no insulation in the 3 rooms. (its a 100 year old house.)

I want to learn how to do the stuff myself. I won't have a lot of free time on my hands as much with the new job, but it will be nice to learn.

Honestly, most home improvement does take time, especially as a beginner. So if you dont mind sitting in half done rooms, you can work at your own pace and just practice.

I don't mind at all. It will give me incentive to keep going.

Your best bet would be looking up tutorials.
Do you want paint? wall paper?
Think of what colors would work. etc.
