I want to upgrade my ps3 HDD and I created a fat32 external to backup my data. Made the VIDEO, PHOTO, MUSIC, and GAME folders. Gives me the option to back up my music, pics, and videos but no option to backup my games, demos, or game saves? I see an option to backup SOME of my older game saves to my external but other game saves says copy to online storage only which requires playstation plus and no option at all to copy my game demos/full games over. I know I could redownload them but psn is so slow I don't want to wait for all of them again.

i used my phone, hooked it up to a usb port and copied it all to that, then back to the new hd

How did you copy the full games/demos that were downloaded?

I just stick a flash drive in and throw a copy of my saves onto it.

I may have to do that then. My only issue now is some game saves wont transfer and im not signing up for ps+ just for that.

yeah, none of mine did that. I've had to reinstall all the game info from the discs too

if you do a whole system backup, it should save everything

settings -> system settings -> backup utility

settings -> system settings -> backup utility it'll save everything including videos/photos/installed games etc I think you still need to sync trophies separately though |
