The physical power button at the top of my phone NEVER gets accidentally pressed and wakes up the phone when I don't want it to.
If I don't use a pin/pw/pattern, why the **** should I have to slide to unlock?

Notify the manufacturers to remove lock screens. All consumers must feel the same way as you.

In Android go to Settings-Security-Screen Lock and select None
