Well I stopped printed photography in about 2005. Now I have about 20GB worth of photos on the computer sorted by date.
Is there anything nicer I can do with them?
If my HD ever fails, I'll lose everything

Would you want to print them all and continue with albums?

Save them all onto a disk or USB.

I guess I want an easier way to look at them too

The easier way would be to buy a huge USB and then import all of the pictures onto there, There you can manage folders and drag and drop and look at them a lot better then on a C.d.

Is there maybe a digital way of storing a lot of photos and still keep them sorted in folders?
something I could travel with?

You can travel with the USB, unless say you have an ipad or an itouch then you can show and store the pictures on one of those ,thing is you can only edit them on your computer and then resave them. It;s a longer process though, trust me.

A tablet might be a good idea. I wonder if they can take pictures too. Then I can just take them and store them right away.

A playbbook would be a good idea, since I know that they have good camera's on them, but a table would work too, long as it had a high pixel quality or to what you like. There are so many these days.

That's good advice thanks. I'll check them out at the mall tomorrow.

Tell one of the workers there what you are planning to do, try and find someone who know photography. And your welcome ^^

Whatever you do, if you value it - duplicate (triplicate?) it in at least three places.
I keep my "important stuff" on my hard drive (encrypted), on a thumb drive (more encrypted), and a USB hard drive in a safe deposit box (awesomely encrypted).
I don't think it will ever be "needed", but I want my music backed up : D -darc
