My aunt's female cat had a litter of kittens, and they're now about 6 weeks old. I'm planning to adopt the male kitten if my boyfriend agrees to it, but even if not...
When he was only days old, my aunt discovered his ribs cage was flat on the belly, and told me that he didn't crawl much. Now, he's up and playing around, but he hates playing with his sisters because they get too rough. His belly is also rounding out, but you can still tell it's not quite right.
Anyone have any thoughts? I'm worried about future health risk.

It's possible he was born missing a few ribs

Ive read about that before. Usually they learn to work through it and sometimes it corrects itself

Sounds like the weak kitten can get affected easily and that it might hurt his heart and lungs. I'd see what's wrong at the vet

Is the breastbone flat or concave?

It can round out in time, but it usually happens by 6 weeks. I'd wait 2 more weeks max before checking it out

Do you know about how much it weighs?

Is his weight normal? Does he seem to be in pain?

He's shockingly a tad bigger than his sisters. He likes to play, just not like they do. The breastbone isn't what concerns me, it's literally his rib cage that was flat. So far he seems pretty healthy, and my aunt has been watching the litter box to make sure all poops look normal. So far so good, so I'm thinking about just asking the vet to have a looksee when I take him to get neutered down the road.
Y'know. Ol' two birds, one stone routine.
He's a cuddler though. He meows, but usually just when he's ready to be back with mom or some other typical baby reason. I'm also getting to keep him. His name is Child. I really love this kitten. He's got his own little world going on, and you can see it in his eyes.

^yeah good idea to get him checked out. Sometimes they grow out of it and sometimes it's more serious

He's a cute little ****er. He really can find a whole world of entertainment by himself. He was at my house for 2-3 hours and my aunt came to pick him up before he was super ready to be home.
