I'm looking for a good bug-out bag. I'd been considering the well advertised MOLLE "Three Day Assault Pack" you can find all over Amazon/eBay for $50 but everyone says they're much smaller than they look.
Requirements : Must hold one change of clothes/socks/shoes, 3+ quarts of water, 3 days of light rations, small medkit, 1 medium tarp, 100ft of 550 cord, large fixed blade knife, a small handgun, 100 rounds of handgun ammunition, and have enough room for the "random" stuff that I haven't thought of here. Must have padded straps with sternum and hip straps. External accessory straps to allow add-ons if needed (the MOLLE system is great for this).
Suggestions? I'd like to keep it under $100... the cheaper the better, so long as it serves the purpose. -darc

IMO they're bigger than they look. You need another hiking bag?

18"x12"x9.5" seems way too small. -darc

What dimensions do you want? I'm looking for something more along the lines of 20"x16"x12" ... maybe even a little larger. -darc
