Nothing bad of course. I got an email from our IT dept saying he needed to verify the location of the workstation that i was using. His supervisor was ccd. How screwed am I?

Maybe a weird coincidence?
Unless you're not supposed to be on the internet at all......

incognito only protects you locally, if your company keeps any sort of logs then the sites you visit are stored on a server somewhere.

In my opinion when I am working I am on their dime, I am being paid to work. If I owned the company I wouldn't want my employees posting on some internet site.

well if he is not an idiot he already has an idea of the physical location by subnet. but then he would like to verify where you were sitting.
maybe the machine you were on has a piece of malware or something

If there was a problem, I would just warn you about usage policy and block the website. I don't know many people that would go straight to termination.

Your IT department is incompetent if they need to ask users where workstations are.
As for your situation - read the paperwork you signed when you joined the company. It will clearly spell out what you can and can't do while using work resources. If you haven't broken any rules according to that, you're fine.
