we have a gas station about 200ft from our college house one day we were sitting on the porch and heard an explosion that sounded like a gun shot we're all like We hear screaming and an ambulance and 3 cops show up 5 minutes later the dude inflated a spare tire to like 70psi. sh*t exploded and ****ed up his arm Dude was okay though, I think There was sand covering a lot of blood spots at the gas station.

I had a bike tire explode in my face when I was like 14. ****ing thing sucked. Ever since I've been paranoid as **** when inflating any tires.

If a tire reaches a certain temperature, a chemical reaction occurs that builds heat (therefore pressure) and will EXPLODE.
Common instances may be where the brakes catch on fire, suspension breaks and rubs the wheel on a fender, etc.

I always sketch a little mounting tires. Filling up also after driving a few miles with only 15psi in my tires.

I was driving down the highway last summer, a dump truck probably 10 cars ahead of me had the front right tire blow. Sounded like a fsking bomb went off, looked like it too. Just saw dust and parts of the fiberglass hood flying everywhere. How the heck it didn't cause any other accidents I don't know.

always fun filling a tire mounted on a 2-piece wheel with ~160 PSI just gotta hope the hardware holding the wheel together is sound

So many things we take for granted can be extremely dangerous. Guess it was just that guy's time to check out

Blew up a tube with a CO2 cartridge once. Just a loud pop, tire held up fine. But that was my only tube and I was 2 miles from home.

I always blew through my CO2 cartridges. Used to tape bic pen casings to them and make some pretty epic pea shooters
