Wow. Post pics each step. Looks like a fun project. Heh, after the 16" Emerson I did a few months back, this one is cake. I did 75% of the work this afternoon. All that's left is to get ALL of the corrosion off the blades and cage (going to take awhile...), regrease the gearbox, and then repaint and reassemble. -darc

You do this cause you're bored?? Bored is not entirely the word for it as I have multiple other things I need to do. More as a break from work... I've still got hundreds of hours left on a project but yesterday I said "fsck this sh*t, I'm doing something else" -darc

I tried to be cool and both paint and put it all back together tonight (paint not fully dry)... I accidentally scratched it so I ended up trying to touchup with spray paint...
Long story short, I have paint all over me and I blobbed part of the motor body that I will now have to sand down and repaint after it dries... fsck me for being impatient today.
-darc
EDIT : I got pretty far though. I got it all together without incident, but I put the stator in upside down. When I went to remove and reverse the stator it slipped and scratched the motor body.
