I always say...

I really do feel that our good deeds in life will be rewarded later on. Maybe you helped an elderly person before or were there for a young child...
The good will be rewarded.. Whether you tell anyone about it or not, God exists and he knows...
And what goes around will come around, whether we see it happen or not.
Good people do suffer sometimes for reasons unknown to me. This life is filled with alot of suffering. I sometimes wonder if this life is a mixture of Heaven and Hell... I've seen the hell in this world but have seen the beauty of it too.

Also, I used to think the same way and had virtually no conscience in fact. Nothing ever seemed to happen to me in return...and then I got hit bigtime. It catches up, I believe.
