my old job gave us all a christmas bonus. it wasn't great, it was actually equal to only 8 hours of pay. my current job throws us a huge party for everyone and theres free beer and food and sh*t.
which would you rather have?

Well it depends how much booze you can buy with the bonus, and if the christmas party has an open bar..

a good xmas party probably I like my workmates though. We get a lunch with another member of our team and members of other departments its possibly the lamest thing ever.

if its a "token" bonus, i'd rather they just throw a bomb-ass party rather than insulting us all with a $75 chills gift card

The company I worked for for a few years would give us a $25 gift card to a grocery store (so we could buy a turkey). Meanwhile, my roommate at the time would get a weeks pay for a christmas bonus

we get bonuses in september
and a xmas party.
xmas party is fun, everyone at work is pretty cool though.
