Okay, my boyfriend and I decided for Halloween, since we have no parties or anything to go to, we're just going to watch movies and eat candy together.
The problem is, I'm still a bit sensitive when it comes to horror movies, like I can't sleep after watching ghost movies and things, so I am wondering, do you guys know of any halloween themed movies we can watch? They can be creepy, but not like, "can't sleep" scary and if possible can you tell me a little bit about your suggestions, too (what the movie is about and why you recommend it for instance.)

"A Nightmare Before Christmas" is a great movie. It gets creepy but there's no scary moments or gore. It's a family-friendly film, very artistic and creative. It's about the King of Halloween deciding to take over Christmas and make it all spooky.

That Exorcism of Emily Rose is pretty mild. It's more of a legal movie than a horror film.. Not really any blood or anything.. Just the girl screaming curses in latin

Sabrina the Teenage Witch
It's all silly witchcraft and voodoo dolls, but still a witchy halloween theme.

Young Frankenstein.
It's in black and white and is more comedy than anything else. It does the story of frankenstein, has some subtle dirty jokes, and is fun for halloween

Hocus Pocus
It's like a Halloween movie you'd watch with your kids. It's about 3 witches who go out on Halloween searching for eternal youth

Idle Hands
It's not child safe, but it's a fun film. Devon Sawa is a lazy kid in high school and his hand gets possessed. There's some dirtyness and grossness.... but not a bloody slasher movie

Shaun of the Dead
Just a weird zombie movie. Actually I thought it was very lame, but it fits the halloween theme, and it's not scary.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch It's all silly witchcraft and voodoo dolls, but still a witchy halloween theme. I think it's just called Teen Witch.

The Claymation Comedy of Horrors Show, doing a 360 degree turn on the whole Frankenstein's Monster deal, which is very funny and only half an hour long, although you'd probably have to order it rather than be able to rent or view it online from somewhere.

It's about 3 witches who go out on Halloween searching for eternal youth I've actually always wanted to see that movie (never have, along with several other movies in this thread), but do you think my boyfriend would like it or is it too childish? He usually watches comedies or action movies. How childish is it?

^I enjoyed it when I was 15. It's not really cartoon childish, but also not as enjoyable as an adult comedy. It's kinda corny. I think you'd like it more than he would
