Would it look okay to decorate a home with pictures youve taken yourself? Not just little photoframes... I mean like blown up and put onto the walls.

Depends on the photos. Are they any good? Examples?

nothing great, but i've traveled a lot, and some photos on the wall would be a nice reminder

I once had a guest room with pictures of guests. Events that we hosted / concerts / BBQs / holiday visits...
Kind of like a living scrapbook of people who stay in that room. Not like "here's a picture of so and so" but like, action shots..

I'm not a photographer, but I do like some of the Kodachrome slides for sale on Ebay. Sometimes there is some awesome sh*t. I'm thinking about just buying a random box of slides and printing some up and framing them

My friend has a glass top coffee table that he has place various photos below. It has a nice effect.

It's cheap to print these days, try getting prints of both and see how it looks.

I give my stuff away framed for other people to put in their houses.
I don't like the idea of putting up my own pictures as "art" in my place.

I bought a bunch of random frames to put up in a long hallway and put my vacation pics in. A lot of people are arranging them in a loose pattern to give it that scattered look. I think Michaels offers a template pre-made if you don't want to put much effort into it.

I personally wouldn't use my photographs as art, but hanging a few on the walls is fine.
