I need to shop around for home owners insurance - any recommendations?
Nationwide has doubled my insurance in the last 3 years. I called and complained, and was told everyone's was going up, something about my areas base rate going up or some bullsh*t.

I tried switching to Farmers about 2 years ago, and it was a pain in the ass. They complained I had a "tree" to close to my house and made me cut it down. It was a bush, and it wasn't taller than 8 foot or so. Then, my agent quit, and I got some new guy that was acting like an assclown. Then come to ****ing find out, they never actually started my insurance, and my Bank called and said I wasn't covered and had 30 days to get insurance or they would for me.

State farm has done me fairly well, auto + home
Their best plans are the mixed plans.

What state are you located in? A lot of people are seeing their rates increase because of the number of natural disasters this year. I'd recommend finding a respected insurance agent and having them quote you with as many different companies as possible.

I have StateFarm. Home insurance is one of those things you don't want to cheap out on.

I'm not being "cheap"... but the plan I signed into keeps changing and the price keeps raising.
