Always something... AC condenser unit died at my house and it's 100*F out... Went home for lunch, and heard a horrible noise coming from the left side of my house, instantly knew what it was.
AC condenser unit fan wasn't spinning and it was making a horrible noise. Walked inside the house, 84* in the house and turned the AC off...
Got an HVAC company coming out this evening to look at it... hopefully it's just the fan/condenser that died and can be fixed relatively cheap. Else I'll have to shell out a couple grand for a new condenser unit....

You will fix the airconditioner unit, and you will notice a roof leak. Six months from now, the roof will be repaired, and you will begin to smell gas somewhere in the kitchen.
Houses are evil.

how much does your home warranty cost you? what all does it cover?

LOL, yea I know...
THe blower motor went out in the furnace back in January, $450 for a new one. My dryer is on it's last leg, takes 2 hours to fully dry clothes anymore... my house needs painted really bad (externally - wood-sided) and could probably use a new roof within the next 3-5 years....
Yep, being involved in home maintenance is AWESOME

mine was $360 for the year with a $60 or $75 service call fee.
Covers just about everything minus sewer and plumbing

The real humorous thing is that renting is worse.

home warranties are awesome if you don't mind waiting a week or two to get anything fixed.

I thought last weekend was bad when it was mid 90s during the day and low of mid 60s. At least we stayed cooled at night since the rain tarp was off.
At 9 o'clock last night it was still high 80s.
