Man, those were the days. Websites were pure HTML and still took 60 seconds to load, if you were lucky. Want to download an update for Quake?? Better not be expecting a call for the next 12hrs. When the Quake 3 demo came out, I was un-callable for about 2 days straight.

i did have free juno email for a while after my dad busted me for having an e-gf when she IM'd him on AOL looking for me they didnt offer free web at the time

I remember spending hours finding NIC drivers so we could set up a Win98 LAN and play Quake..... those were the days!

****in aol...I had that sh*t free for like a year because everytime i called to cancel they gave me another 2 months free until I finally had enough and wanted to leave...the dude argued with me for mad long all pissed off about me canceling and just hung up on me.

I remember holding a pillow and blankets against my tower whenever I got on late at night so dialing in wouldn't give me away.
Also, who actually noticed a difference when they pressed the turbo button?
