never had the chance, which is pretty scary. if i had to guess, Winnipeg is 2-3 hours away from where i live. it could be traveled to easily enough, if i really wanted to.

If aliens landed in front of you and, in exchange for anything you desire, offered you any position on their planet, what would you want?

If you were written about in the newspaper, on the front page, what would the headline say?

How would you design a spice rack for a blind person?

Ever been to a bachelor party? not yet. i could probably be dangerous, if i were ever invited. i would avoid doing anything complex. since the person would be blind, i would want to find the simplest way for them to find the appropriate spice. one thing i'd do, off the top of my head, is put different spices in different types of containers. i would try to make the feel of the containers different, so they wouldn't have to fumble about trying to find any braille marks on them. each container would have a different texture or shape to it, so they could easily figure out which spice they're reaching for. i'd keep the spice rack in a location that requires little or no reaching. things can be a pain in the backside to find, if looking in the dark. i can only imagine how hard it is if a person were blind. going off this logic, i'd keep it in an easy to reach spot. simplicity would be necessary. if you have to fumble about, just to find something simple, you don't want anyone making it harder then it has to be.
