"I don't really play video games"

Why do you say that?

Why are you instantly rejecting an entire form of media entertainment, not even caring to look at one screenshot to see if you are at least a little bit interested in it? Do you think you're too grown up/mature to be associated with video games?

It's like saying "I don't really watch movies."

I told my friend about battlefield 3 and to check it out since we used to play BF2 a long time ago. Within a second he says "Ehh, I don't really play video games" He could have said a number of other things like "I don't really have time anymore" or "I'll check it out later," and at least be courteous about it.

Way to put me down and say "I'm too cool to respect your interests/play video games now."

And to think we talked a week ago reminiscing about high school and how it was great to stay up late playing games .

I probably play like once a month, but I'll definitely enjoy playing a damned video game if I have time and am interested in it.

Then they should say that they are too busy, not "I don't really play video games." The former is a legitimate reason while the latter is just be pompous. I feel like he said it only because he feels he's all "grown up" now.

its funny because its the same people who say "i don't really watch play videogames" like its above them yet they will watch 7 hours of tv a day, and mostly shows like teen mom and jersey shore.

But do you at least read the premise or look at a trailer before making that decision? I sent him once screenshot link and he didn't even ****ing look at it . How is he not putting me down if he wont even click one link?

No, but if I never heard of the hobby before I'm at least gonna listen to what it's about before giving judgement . The worst part is that we used to play video games together ALL the time together.
