the proboards people are going around deleting forums now.

All members have to be 13+

The content restrictions are as follows:


-User's content must comply in a manner consistent with any and all applicable laws of the State of California and the US Federal Government.

-User's web site may not contain content promoting the use of illegal drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, nudity, or any other form of adult content, profanity, hate, "spam," fraud, racism, mlm, pyramid schemes, or promote any illegal activity.

-User's message board and Web site must be in English.


so if you see any post, recent or old that violates it, PM it to yarny so she can edit or delete it.

This forum has been around forever and I don't want to see it go

I don't see any threads or posts like that around here... no porn, no drugs, no nothing.

ProBoards has some of the most restrictive policies ever.

- Luckily, none of our members are under 13.

- We speak English here... no problem with that.

- Profanity gets bleeped out.

I can't believe how ProBoards slapped on all these restrictions. I guess their highest management just likes to feel powerful; they never had so many restrictions before... I bet they just waited until they got lots of members before they decided to control everyone.

I hope they don't have a "You can't show distaste for ProBoards" rule.

i think it's since proboards is free, they only get money from advertisements, and advertisers won't advertise on places with "bad content"

Kind of funny how most of the ads here are based around discrimination, and then ProBoards releases a rule that all boards have to be in English.

My Brazilian friend made a ProBoards forum for his band... most of it is in Portuguese. I feel bad that it's going to get deleted...

i assume the need to understand the content so they know what they have to delete. I mean you can be talking like this and say "hola como estas?" in part of a thread and THAT is allowed. maybe notify your friend and have him start switching the front page to english at least.

The only way this forum will get deleted is
if its reported for TOS

patrick & craig.. dont just go around checking boards & deleting them
do you know how many boards there are?

yeah so if someone reports just cuz say maybe they're jealous that this forum is more active than theirs, then proboards staff will take a look and might shut it down. so i guess that's why we have to look for and bad content
