Does anyone else ever browse big threads backwards
or am I the only one?

On long threads, I'll usually read the last page just to see the direction of the thread before I start reading from the beginning. Reading it backwards gets to be too much work.

I just skim through and read the posts that are quoted a lot. But I read it all in order.

It depends. If its only a page long, then I read from first to last... but if it starts me out on page 3, I go backwards.
