I never understood 1 thing about Al Bundy and why he refused to be intimate with Peg.
While I've never cared for how her hair has that giant puffy area in the back, there's nothing else wrong with her looks. Nice chest, thin waist, rounded hips, and legs...what could be so wrong with her?
Al loved throwing his money away at the clubs and flipping through his copies of Bigguns, yet he never wanted Peg
Sure, Peg was lazy about everything she did except shopping. Maybe she was a dead fish in bed but I kinda doubt that.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Whoa Bundy!

You will never understand until you score 4 TDs in 1 game, come back when that happens and I'll explain it to you

Al scared me off from playing football once I realized that scoring 4 TDs in 1 game landed you a career as a woman's shoe salesman

He never adjusted his expectations down after that football game at Polk High.
He sees her as the ball and chain that was responsible for where he ended up.
When he looked at her, he just saw a big red monster because he was carrying around his resentment and disappointment all the time.
Married people develop a lack of sexual desire for a spouse when they let resentments build up.

I agree with this post completely. It's all about the resentment in their marriage. And all the stupid blaming on one another they do all the time for things that are their own faults. That show is okay. I mean, it has its entertaining moments, but all of them are horrible people who just sit around hating one another and insulting one another and all the negativity gets on my nerves really fast. They aren't really likable people either. I wouldn't want to be friends with any of them. And while I enjoy the storylines and humor to it, the characters somewhat ruin it for me. It's okay to be poor and kind of trashy like they are, but not when you're bitter and unlikable personality-wise too. I've met trashy people who are nice and that's a completely different story than the characters on this show. They took everything that can be wrong with men and everything that can be wrong with women and annoying about them and made them into characters. It makes me feel . . . yucky to watch it.
