What was your favorite part of the '80s? Which did you think was the best overall? The best music, best TV, best movies, just overall which part had the best pop culture?
Do you like the early '80s? The mid '80s? The late '80s?

84-86 seemed like a time of innocence and fun without the worries of the real world for me.

I don't remember to much of the 80's. I didnt have much of a decent childhood other than farming around.

Being a child of the 80s brought us the best toys, but I think I would have liked to be a teen during that time.

The entire decade was amazing. Maybe that's how we should leave it.

Everyone probably wishes they could have been a teen in the 80s. It just seems to have been such a carefree time period

'88 was the best year of my life. Started working at my first (real) job (Wendy's didn't count as a 'real' job in high school), had money, started working at being independent too. Music was great, still a lot of originality left at the time. Return of the Jedi closed out the original Star Wars movies a few years earlier. Then one of my all-time favorite movies of True Believer came out right at the end ('89). RoboCop was another favorite in '87. The video game crash was actually good for us consumers for getting some good, cheap games in '83-'84. Nintendo brought back video games from the near-dead a few years later. I didn't really experience that though, but then the Genesis took 'em to new highs at the end too ('89 again). Probably other stuff I'm forgetting, so just a summary from me EDIT: just read the first post again. Tv! Forgot about Hill Street Blues and Night Court. Think Married...With Children started out near the end of the 80s too. And The Simpsons began their long-ass reign that is still ongoing.
