What if you end up in the position where there could be a guarantee that a CURE will be found within 10 years for any disease you choose (this could mean a cure form mom's breast cancer, dad's thyroid disease etc)...however no progress will be made on any other disease during this time.
Would you target one disease and find a cure? Why or why not?

That still doesnt promise that my relative will be cured.. what if my breast cancerous mom died in 3 years and the cure came out 4 years later?
That's not a good deal at all.

I'm not close to anyone with a disease, but I'd agree to it and get a cure for AIDs. Seriously, that disease seems impossible to cure.

If I wanted to pick cancer, would it be ALL cancers or just one type?

I think I'd rather have progress in all rather than just a cure in one, and no progress in the rest.
