I've always associated liking math with being nerdy?
I don't mind it if I have to do it, but I don't do it for fun.

I went through Pre-Calc, I didn't really like the homework every night... but I didn't hate it. I prefer English over Math, but I always score higher in Math than English on all standardized tests. =/ Explain that.

^Not everyone likes the things they're good at. (Wish I could think of an example, but I'm sure you know what I mean)

I have a love/hate relationship with math. I'm pretty good at most lower-level things, and I took Algebra I in middle school when most others took Pre-Algebra. I like the feeling of doing something right, whereas with English, you have degrees of being right, and everything is subjective. I do not like Geometry. It is evil, and I hate it. But algebra is pretty fun sometimes.
Related sidenote about my nerdy beginnings: I remember learning how to do long division in fourth grade, and being really, really excited that I could do it, and showing everyone I know that I knew how. Good times.

I don't care for it, but I do find it funny that I had to take Calculus 1, 2, 3, Discrete Math, Statistics, Linear Algebra, and another one or two classes for my major, but, since I graduated I've maybe used basic Algebra a few times. That's not to say I don't think mathematically, because it can argued that is what programming is (I'm a programmer by the way), but the only true math I can remember doing in recent times was a distance calculation when provided latitude/longitude.
O, and I took College Geometry because it was the lowest level class that would qualify me for a minor in Mathematics... it was awesome. 8th grade math.... in college... great class : ) -darc

I don't like math that much, except Geometry because it's like philosophy so much. XD I love proofs and all that stuff. I was always really good at that part.

I did the best in Geometry out of all other high school Math classes. Then again, tests were only 50% of my grade. In Algebra 2 they were 65%, and in Pre-Calc 70%. I'm not a big test taker, especially in Math. I tend to make little mistakes.

I do not like Geometry. It is evil, and I hate it. Amen to that. That was the only class I flunked in high school. Just couldn't get it. No, I don't like math. And not green eggs and ham.
