I was off work (though on call, but no calls) and getting paid... I chalk that up as a win any day.

I don't quite fit in here, since the worst Christmas we had once was when one of our dogs died, but yeah, this year's wasn't exactly the greatest or anything.
Too damn warm (my sister was wearing shorts), food was good, gifts eh (probably will check out this electronic [?!] Rubik's Cube thingy I got today though), the next door neighbor's dumb fat b*tch wife fired up the damn leaf blower, then after a while he mowed the lawn AND fired up the chainsaw a bit after THAT! I was going "it's CHRISTMAS, for God's sake!" I think for their happy new year I'm going to start filing criminal charges against them, a lot of the neighbors have had it with their crap too.
So yeah, not the worst, but it was fairly crappy.

My Christmas was like any other day really. We had to pay property taxes this month and it took all our Christmas money to do, so we did nothing that day.

^I thought taxes are in february? Maybe I'm wrong I believe property taxes are handled individually state by state and in my state it had to be paid in December. Yes, here's a link to all the taxes that are handled individually in each state: retirementliving.com/RLtaxes.htmlYou have to pay different percentages of money and during different times depending on what state you live in. In California, we all had to do it this month. (It's near the bottom of the list of taxes.)

I hear some people in the USA are paying like 20% of their checks to taxes. That's absurd if you ask me.
