I'd say the relationship had been pretty much doomed already if someone is to look for an excuse to do that as it is.

I think I've got some pretty good ones for the wife this year... at least, better than she'll get me : )
I'm infamously hard to shop for though... because I don't "want" anything... and if I do "want" it... then I buy it my own damn self.
