do you like banana bread? of course you do because who the **** doesn't? this bread is like banana bread, but well, pumpkinny instead of banana-y. i like having it for breakfast during the weekdays, but maybe you'd rather have it as a snack, for dessert, or your only meal as we all approach a net worth of $5. plus, its pumpkin season and they're good for more than just carving obscene images so you can traumatize neighborhood children.
i threw some nuts in the bread (walnuts, pecans). you could also add chocolate chips. then, i swirled in some layers of cream cheese because who doesn't like cream cheese? and because my bread pan is too small, i also get two muffins out of the deal.

BTW most canned pumpkin is dyed squash anyway... even though pumpkins are technically a squash, what you see in the can is mostly not pumpkin

i always thought it was funny when i'd hear people say they prefer the taste of canned pumpkin over real pumpkin. now i wonder how many people actually like pumpkin

pumpkin bread is where its at
cream cheese is a weakness of mine. i think taking it out of my diet a few years ago was a big part of my improved health. i used to have a bagel w/cream cheese nearly every day...it was painful to give up on it
