If it's that bad, why not code your own forum system? I mean, where are you gonna find more lenient rules and whatnot?

No need to code my own - PHPNuke is an excellent system that I like using. If I needed to code anything it would just be addons to PHPNuke....cause I'd be writing it in PHP anyway (cause PHP is leet). All you need is a serve or PHP supportive webspace and I can have a PNuke forum up for you in 30minutes... tops. -DarC

wouldn't bandwidth be a problem then? How so? Webspace includes bandwidth, especially if you got on a rack mount package. Or if you had your own server, it'd be kind of stupid to be running a server on a 56k. DSL could handle it with no problem. -DarC

Oh, well I was just saying cus I've seen forums have to get shut down cus the webhost said they were using too much bandwidth... Most hosters alot a certain amount, and if you go over they will be lenient to a point and then block access to your site (under the "bandwidth exceeded" error) until the time frame recycles. This can be countered by choosing a serv with enough bandwidth to accomadate you, or you could strip your forum down to text and maybe a few images (I prefer text only myself...). -DarC

this board has post limit? is that what you're saying? I think you're misinterpreting what I said. It's not that it has a number of posts, that once reached the board stops (though it probably does...when the amount of webspace allotted fills), I'm talking of bandwidth. IE: the amount of data throughput on the network. IE: the amount of data transferred. Most free hosts allot a certain of amount of bandwidth (IE: amount of data that they allow you to transfer) per month before they disable your site until the time frame recycles. I think Geocities is like 100mb/month (which is pretty sh*tty). -DarC
