Hello/howdy. Greetings and most importantly G'day... mate.
Been pondering about my new little hobby project of an internet radio station. At the moment it's just a pop up thing on Twitch and thanks to lovely people it seems okay. I am considering turning it into a 24/7 sort of thing with regular shows etc but not sure whether to limit it.. or go all out.
I'm cautious as I do like the casual pop ups. Especially until I get the energy and time again to do interviews. But am wondering how far I should go with it?
I mean do people use internet radio stations? I'm wondering if the cost of setup will justify my satisfaction lol. So unsure

I use XM radio in the car, but wouldn't at home.

So you'd play other people's music? I think Twitch hands out copyright strikes really fast these days. Be careful with it.

I'd visit a "radio station" that had a chat like Twitch chat. BUT be careful with licensing because I don't want you to get shut down the day you open. I want things to work out for you.

Do you have the cpu power to let it run 24/7? Would be cool to go on Twitch and find a 24/7 channel up and running if there was like a bot where I could pick songs I wanted from a collection.

I think people will listen, but I"ve seen 2 of my music friends on Twitch get copyright strikes recently for playing other people's music. 100% be cautious. But I would listen.

People do, I think mostly in their cars. People are on Twitch music a lot to interact with musicians. Is your idea to start a band or play other people's tunes?

I'd give it a listen if you stream while I'm awake.

aza, Sounds fun to me, just check on the rules, and get permission from the artists, and obviously, don't be playing super famous songs.
