I’ve been doing blue apron for 2 years or so and they’re usually good but I’m sick of cooking. Everything is ok at worst, usually decent, sometimes pretty impressed. I tried Freshly for a few weeks and only one recipe wasn’t outright bad. Anything good out there?
Obviously I don’t expect fully prepared to taste as good but a few Freshly recipes my lady and I were spitting out they were so bad.
I can put in a little effort, but I have no time for full cheffing.
I hope my only healthy option is not putting raw food into a blender.
I WILL eat better this year.

Get a bag of chopped salad from the grocery store, dice up some leftover beef/chicken/pork, a couple slices of TX toast, and you've got a meal. I usually make a tritip on Sunday, and use it for my salads Mon, Tues, and Weds nights.

Maybe you can learn to cook basic everyday meals
You don’t need to pretend you’re Gordon Ramsey every time you make a plate of food.

Yes, I’m doing this. I’m asking for something that makes it easier a few nights a week too because I really can't do it every night.

Sea salt, fresh cracked pepper and fresh chopped garlic, start there; you can make anything edible with those three things. Afterwards, you learn to add other things.
Maybe we can clean out some stuff in your freezer first and put it to good use.

Buy roasted chicken from walmart, chop up bird, add corn, black beans, cilantro, and shredded mexican cheese blend, throw on top of a bowl of rice or corn tortilla, finish off with tomatillo salsa and a squeeze of lime.
Do stuff like this once a week and you have it for a ton of meals.

I have been grilling at least 3x a week
super friggin easy, marinade/bbq/whatever and you can make a ****ton of leftovers
not even remotely hard, hell you can buy the rice that comes in an upright bag that microwaves in 2 minutes, boil some broccoli

How do you feel about buying a ton of produce and making a ton of smoothies? It's literally a few minutes.

^Are produce deliveries worth the cost?

I figured. I swear, I'm not horribly lazy. I just want one less thing to worry about.

How do you feel about eggs? Buy a dozen for 88 cents and they'll last you at least a week.
Also get some meat. Put egg over the meat and you will wish you'd been eating it your whole life.

Can you use an hour or two one day a week to meal prep for the whole week? Probably still cheaper/tastier.
