I think it's more about feeling like you're involved in something big if that makes sense. Maybe you'd be as equally excited about mass joy.

Assuming you don't mean you like watching people get killed, I can agree to the extent that good and bad hysteria can be entertaining. But I don't want anyone to suffer.
