If any New Year songs are on the list, I say consider adding KE's song. If NO New Year songs are on the list, then maybe don't include it this year.

The vocal list currently includes 5 versions of What Are You Doing New Year's Eve? (WAYDNYE) According to Wikipedia, that song was not intended for the holidays when it was written. I didn't know that until now.
On the other hand, WAYDNYE definitely earned a place on Christmas albums going back decades. On the other, other hand, that can also be said for BICO and Auld Lang Syne. These are subjective programming choices. For yet another data point, the personal list that I posted, Rob's Christmas Favorites, does not include any version of any of those songs.
We can have a constructive debate about WAYDNYE in addition to these other ideas. I'm open to changes either way.

I like Kevin's song. I like WAYDONYE. I like Auld Lang Syne. None of them scream Christmas, but they're New Year anyway.  |
