The clown is just too squeaky and not even remotely scary.
Tim Curry was such a better clown.

I laughed when the clown turned into the man with the breast prosthetics and it was running.... that should have been her mummified dad. The scene made no sense.

I saw part 2. They included more from the book, but the clown was too funny to be scary.
