Wait a minute... I think this change would make my number go down. Isn't the goal of internet points to make number go up? IMO having the number be some abstract representation of reputation makes sense to me. It doesn't need to represent a real value. I only pay attention to orders of magnitude difference anyway  This. I like the abstract #. Kinda like not knowing what gets factored in to forum rep. The # just gets bigger the more I interact on here. BUT, a topic total would be fun at the same time. Now I want both. |

People who delete their accounts forfeit their likes. That's how it goes.
But it's interesting that there were no likes for maybe a decade so all those posts never had a chance to gain rep points.
There might not be a way to make it 100% "fair"
