I'd like to talk about Compound Interest. For every year you grow, you will double your gift (over time) to yourself, and others. And, that's the thing. . . As a Native American, I know that I will eventually graduate to an "Elder" some day. Older isn't a distraction, nor are the scars we accumulate over time. They are badges of honor: and we are the beacons of light to those who are 'chin deep' in the mud struggle. My fren'. Your ship hasn't sunk. When it is time to not sail anymore, you become the lighthouse that shines so brightly, so that others don't repeat your mistakes. If you care to share, others will sail farther, and . . . They will bring you with them. Because, you helped them navigate, Elder. Celebrate yourself, as I honor you. You toughed out the rough seas, so that others didn't have to. While that love can't cover your scars, your wisdom will make sure that you're the last person around you that takes that deep cut. As I have been around these young Elders -- as they comfort me -- not the other way around; I am reminded that I want to do what I can. In as much, those children are not the problem, I am not the solution. And, because they have shown me the way, I march forward. I will never forget their names, nor their faces. How did you learn to play the guitar? The quick answer? I didn't. As I mentioned in my introduction post, I decided (for better or for worse) that I would learn in "real time" in the public eye. As a gentleman, this is not appropriate for public consumption, as I know. I have always been told that I need to have "my act together". Which I understood was is that none of us are there. We are where we are. So, the best way to learn anything? Just. . . Start. If there is anyone that wants to start something. . . Just: Start. You don't have to do it the way I did it, nor is it the best way. If you're shy, and you like your quiet moments, then play the notes silently. Eventually, if you might become bold (which isn't a requirement!). Then perhaps. . . You might be the anonymous inspiration to someone who you liberated you. Music can save us. It saved me. Only because someone decided . . . To learn to play guitar. Hugs, fren. |

What made you choose the bear avatar? I love it when wild animals appear to mimic humans. It's cute, and funny. But, in reality? The polar bear is one of the most dangerous predators on land. Do you like sports? Favorite entertainment? I'm a huge fan of Sports Ball! (kidding with the verbiage, hehe) I am a grand supporter of the Green Bay Packers, and the Milwaukee Brewers.
