Plenty - To say that I have no regrets, would be a lie. My biggest regrets are the ones where I have failed to trust God in particular things and then facing the consequences that followed; simply because I chose to do things my way and then as a result, usually hurting the ones I love because of it. As a Christian, putting my trust in a God I believe in, has been a tough lesson to learn.

How did you meet your wife? Back in the early 1980's I became friends to a work colleague Edward who we remained mates even when I moved on from where we worked. Edward eventually decided his time had come to marry to a Tina. They settled down miles away from where I lived and I only visited once a year due to the distance. Over time, they had a son and they wanted me to be a godfather to him and Tina asked her sister Sharon to be the godmother. Sharon at the time was in a very difficult marriage of her own and only at the christening we had briefly met. A few years went by and I made a random phone call to Edward and Tina to meet up again. What I did not know was that Sharon, Tina's sister had rang the night before and asked "if Les rings one day, could he take me too.". When I made the phone call, less than 24 hrs after hers, I agreed to pick Sharon up who was living in the same town as me. Sharon's difficult marriage had long came to an end and at first, we became friends and then realised we wanted to spend the remainder of our lives together and married in 1994. This year, we will have been married for thirty years.

What are some important life lessons you learned as you got older? The life lessons that I have learnt is that having a Christian faith has proven to me the key to getting through life. Also, material things like possession s and money wouldn't make me any more happier than I am now, so I have learnt to stick to my means. I have a wonderful wife and close family nearby and being loyal to them has proven more valuable than anything else.

Do you ever make wishes on stars other than make prayers to God? No, I put my full faith in a creator rather than the created.

Same goes with birthday candles and stuff?
I support that. I still like to make wishes on birthday candles even though I'm an adult.

My self and my wife don't really have a sweet tooth and can't remember when we last had a birthday cake. Birthday's come and go with very little fuss probably because of my age lol.
