I have not seen a single one on the list. And I find that as much as I loved horror movies growing up now that I'm middle aged they just don't appeal to me like they once did. A thriller or a suspense movie I am interested in but a straight up horror movie I'm not likely to select these days. I find it weird how much we change as we age because I never would have predicted that about myself. I figured I'd always love horror movies. I can handle them, it's not that they scare me or freak me out, I just find that they are not enjoyable for me these days. There are a few exceptions (like some Stephen King movies and probably the original Halloween movie the first few maybe) but overall I don't want anything that's more than middle grade style creepy/scary akin to say Are you afraid of the Dark or that new version of Goosebumps that came out. Nothing slasher at all, nothing gory. Just no longer appeals.

lithiumkat, I love horror, but nothing scares me. I dislike the overuse of CGI. I'm not going to be scared of a computer generated monster. I never was. I even laughed at Stephen King's IT in 1990 when I was a kid. What I need is a good psychological thriller type of horror. I need something that I can convince myself is real, something that might show extreme human evil, and then, MAYBE it'll have the potential to leave a chilling impression.

I agree that psychological thriller is a much better scare. I've never been scared by CGI or computer generated crap either. My parents said I used to laugh at the horror movies as a kid (I KNEW that crap was not real!) I tell you what movie gave me the most chill and it's definitely more of a psychological thriller than a gory/graphic type is The Mothman Prophecies. It came out back in the 90's I believe. Ever seen it? It has stayed with me over the years and is the only movie that ever truly gave me a shiver/chilled me. It didn't like give me nightmares but I can feel my hair stand up during certain lines/scenes. If you haven't ever watched it then I highly recommend it!

lithiumkat, Yeah, my parents let me watch all kinds of horror because they didn't scare me and I never ended up with nightmares. I have not seen that. What's odd is that the movies that have creeped me out the most weren't even horror films. For example, imagery from The Good Son, The Lovely Bones, and Lifebreath have stayed with me for years.

The only one of those I've seen is The Lovely Bones. I had read the book first then when the movie came out I saw it too. I agree that one has stayed with me as well. It makes me so very sad. Was such a good book/movie though.
