Who else was forced to sing in school and then embarrass themselves on stage by not being able to sing and having to perform in front of the whole school?
They thought they could turn anyone into a good singer and then punished us when we couldn't sing.
I hated it.

100% hated music/chorus class and for the same reason. It was just another way for the school to humiliate me.

When I went to school, some people were forced to take up an instrument. And the parents had to pay for the instrument.

That was in my elementary school. The music teacher made us sing in front of the class the first day of school every year. Not very fair for those of us who can't sing. Some kids were really shy too. You shouldn't force kids to do that.

I hated to sing with and in front of my class. I was always self conscious and it always made me retreat.

Trust me, even the ones that liked instruments didn't want to sing. It wasn't any easier. And the choir teachers were hell.
BTW... what the hell was the guy swinging his arms doing? They never told us.

I like to sing privately, not in front of a school.. I hated that class too.

Even when it wasn't in front of the school and it was just your class, it was still hard if people bullied you already.
