Same Goody also sold some imports and contributed to my Hanson record (CD) collection. I believe I bought my first few Hanson CDs ever from Sam Goody. Those would be the MMMBop single and the Middle of Nowhere studio album.

They sold me a lot of cassette tapes a long time ago.

I miss them being in strip malls. They had a good selection of regulars and imports.

Yes, the Sam Goody was what was up. We never had a Tower Records anywhere near where I lived that I recall but I remember being so excited if I had some money so spend at Sam Goody and even if I didn't going in there and planning out what the next cd or book was going to be that I was going to buy. Checking out who was on and in the magazines. I was big into music (I still am) and so Sam Goody was like the major store I was interested in spending money in or going and browsing in!

Wow, just looked them up on Wikipedia. They were just sold off in 2020 and two stores still remain to this day!

i've been to a sam goody and tower records. the store we had locally was west coast video. i used to rent snes, n64 games and wrestling vhs every friday.
