It was always my BF's goto store for everything. Cooler than Best Buy because it wasn't a massive giant.

RadioShack was also in the UK at one point under the name Tandy's

@kdfurry , Did you ever go there for alarms or parts? Nope, I was only little back then, but RadioShack UK did sell a diy install burglar alarm under the Tandy name back in the 1990s and I think they sold burglar alarms in the UK stores in the 1980s but I don't know tbh |

I shoulda checked RadioShack when I needed a smoke alarm. I don't remember where I went back then. The alarms in my house are broken now. All the batteries are dead.

Awesome. I never got to touch one of those before. Apparently these were designed in the US and sold in Tandy in the UK, and were sold in the 80s. |
