Firstly, I like it. It suits my eyesight better than the default blue theme as I find that to glaring. bigballofyarn you mentioned on the support forum (I'm harryk there) that you needed a new darker banner. Why not use the existing one. This is just a mock-up I did online on my phone. Convert to greyscale, invert (negative), adjust contrast. It'd be better to adjust it on a larger screen to match the theme.  |

IIRC the blue banner has stuff added to it to make it fill the box no matter the side of the monitor IE the blue and white lines that go from side to side. So she'll be doing some super coding.  |

Spooky nighttime butterfly. Spooky in a nifty way. But when the black and white lines get added through it, I'm not sure how it'll look. Cool mockup either way!
But I don't see the theme listed. It's probably not ready.

Cool mockup. Yes, she's working on a dark theme, but there's more to the banner than just the butterfly image. I'm not sure what type of coding was involved, but it's made to fit any monitor and not just be a little box centered in the middle for people who have high resolutions if that makes sense. I think she has some CSS to fix before it's released to the rest of the forum.  |

I saw it briefly and it was hot. Much better than the black theme that was here as a "mobile only" theme.
Cool mockup design. I'd even be fine with no banner the way PB Support looks

It's actually called a logo and is centred on any sized screen. Behind that is another image called the banner, in the case here a 1px wide x 174px tall gradient that's set to repeat the width of any screen. They're colour matched so it's difficult to see the join and you can also make the edges of the logo slightly transparent so it fades and the two images blend together. |

Much nicer than the dark theme that used to be here. I know that one was marked as mobile only, but I checked it out anyway. Sue me.  TY to Christina for taking care of this for everyone. |

BTW...the shop won't be redesigned unless the item is black and invisible. Going forward, shop items will be made to work in both themes.

Ian, Thank you for your support, help, and feedback. The previous dark theme was never finished and while it worked, it was definitely a mess. What someone mentioned above about coding and the banner was something we did maybe 15 years ago before it was part of ProBoards. I wanted my banner to fill the entire box before it was a feature, and we coded something to achieve that. We left it that way and never changed the blue theme once things became part of the theme editor. xea989, You are correct in that most shop items are staying exactly the way they are unless they become completely indistinguishable in the dark theme. Secondly, because someone else made the shop, I may not be able to change the confirmation boxes that pop up when you buy an item, meaning that you won't be able to read the black text on the black background unless I change the theme. Going forward with new shop items, I will make them so they look good in both themes. I'm sure I won't notice every issue immediately. I'm fine with fixing things as they surface. I admit that I'm not an artist. Right now, the black theme has no banner. If I can't visualize anything by tonight, I'll do something similar to ProBoards Support's simple, but clean banner. Edit: Shop purchases seem to look fine. Feel free to let me know if you have a different experience. Edit 2: I put up a placeholder banner that matches better than keeping the blue banner.

Dudeeeeeee. This night theme is amazing and looks great on the PC and on the phone!! Most of the shop items look A-OK to me. You are right that a few will be a little off. Easy peasy fix. Not to sweat.
The 8 Ball Game thread actually looks better in dark mode. Looks more like an 8 ball.
